Arx have to ship 1 month before Morrowind (planned at the begining of July), but that the only requirement IMO (exept for running out of budget of course...)

I voted "later to fix more bugs"... But on second thought, it could be released sooner if (and only if) we are assured that they'll work harldy on patches until no bug is left...
That way, we take take as much pleasure as with the buggy demo as a training and really play the game once the patch is released...
Well... I know it's a bad idea because the game would be shot down by the critics, just like Ultima9.

I'd preffer them to hold it for a while..
I was pretty surprised to learn that they weren't pushing back the date. We'll see...

F. However long they think they need in order to insure the best possible game.
Right now the only bugs I have encountered are a couple of crash issues, and that shouldn't take too long to find and fix. The important things are what I want. This demo put some very high expectations on the final product for me. The worst possible thing they could do is release the game if any part of it didn't match the dev teams own expectations.
If it takes them 6 more months to tune certain parts of the game, add length, fix bugs, etc GREAT!
If it comes out tomorrow and it is 'complete', that is great too.
I want a great game, I don't care how long it takes.

Morrowind will be released this spring.

But, last I heard, it will be released later in Europe. July is possible.

No, later in America. True. Around November maybe.

The poll is missing an item: "Release it exactly as planned"
I think that the remaining bugs/crash issues will be fixed until then. The demo was there for a reason, so they can have some betatesting. Nice to see that somebody does actually betatesting before shipping the final product for money.
Anything else that isn't fixed before it goes gold is either:

small enough to fit in a patch and not to impact gameplay in a great deal

so big that it will be come in Arx II, and not earlier

I don't think that delaying the game will really "improve" it much. Not only because that is hardly possible, but also because with every delay the bar is raised again, the feature list grows and the expectations go up (who heard of bumbmapping 5 years ago? today you can't live without it).
So, I think the release schedule is quite right.

But I'm just kidding you. :joke: I understand that indeed, real-time bump mapping in 3D games is a more recent fact.
