So, I'm taking a class next semester called Elections in Popular Culture. The professor (who I have a class with currently) has informed me that he is pretty ignorant of political blogs, and wants me to send him a list of some. Thing is, I don't frequent many myself, but I bet many of you folks do! So:
A. What are your personal favorite political blogs?
B. What do you think are the most influential in American politics, particularly the current election? I know The Huffington Post and The Drudge Report are some big ones - what are some others?
I'm looking for blogs that are either American or internationally focused - while I find British politics plenty interesting, it's outside the scope of the course (which, I believe, focuses on American elections).
Thanks a bunch!
P.S. Sorry for the botched title. I can spell, I swear.

Very liberal and I don't always agree with it, but it's entertaining to read and the cartoons are often funny.

That's certainly worth a read - never come across that. I have a deficit of political satire in my reading.
I have to say that most political blogs are pretty awful and are simply an outlet for the biased opinions of the author. Or is that just a definition of a political blog...
Given that I think politics is mostly a pile of pants anyway, I tend to read something better classed as unpolitical, moving off to the far left. (
http://stumblingandmumbling.typepad.com/) Stumbling and Mumbling, or (
http://blogs.salon.com/0002007/) How to Save the World, say. They are the sort of blogs you might return to and dig around in for something interesting, rather than topical blogs that are really kind of transient and perhaps not so thought-provoking.
