It was shocking news indeed :( While you may argue about the political culture of people who were on-board (Kaczynscy brothers brought the political life to the new, lower level), it's the great human tragedy above all else. Even the mediocre politicians don't deserve such fate...

There were MANY important persons and top officals on that plane: the president, his wife, head of National Security Office, Deputy Foreign Minister, head of the army chief of staff, head of the National Bank of Poland, civil right commissioner etc. And, among them, the friend of my family and quite known Polish actor - Janusz Zakrzeński. All died.
They were traveling to Russia to mark the 70th anniversary of the Katyń massacre of Polish prisoners of war.
We're all shocked.

I've just wrote that someone close to my family died. He was an actor, not politician. Besides, there were some persons related to the families of soldiers killed in Katyń on board (not to mention the crew). How could you write something like that?
