Did Purah just pronounce DromEd as "droh-med" (~42:25)?
the time coding isn't correct you mean 43:00....yeah he does if it is important

Wow, this was a real treat. I never thought this would happen, but you guys made it possible. If you were worried the episode didn't focus as much on the campaign, I think it was perfect. You struck a nice balance between odds and ends in the missions, but also his personal journey and background in mission making. It was also super interesting to hear about what they had to figure out in Dromed in the early 2000s, that must have been so fun to be a part of.
Oh and thank you for including my questions. :-)

Not sure who was more uncomfortable.. you or Purah. I take that back.. you were. You guys need to actually know who you are talking to better. I got the feeling you just skimmed through Calendra trying to gather facts enough to sound like you knew what you were talking about for the podcast.
I have hopes for the podcast, but.. be better.

Signed and thanks :) If I remember right you gave me the idea "if you could get purah"...so that was the trigger to arrange that, in general that gave us the idea to invite different people , so we all have to thank you for that....

I see your point but I can tell you noone was uncomfortable with anyone, especially not Anthony, he's such a chilled dude. I was only uncomfortable with the time pressure which i already adressed earlier. We were well prepared and especially nex as always had alot in the background but the problem was, I told Anthony that it'll be good if he would take around 2-3h time and since he didn't denie we went into this with that time in the back. Then when we met he said he has about 1h15min, you can imagine that this on the spot changed our plan and ideas alot. Also Psych0sis was sick that day so he was missing too. We had to improvise to find the right balance. And since you guys can all play the mission by yourself we made sure to focus more on his story and background/inside info rather than talking through the mission. We were well prepared but since we are no professionals we can't handle this situation like a pro, anyways I think we did good. Of course you can have the feeling that someone was uncomfortable but that's your feeling so don't try to make it a fact. And since I'm no native speaker I can only describe my feeling that your feedback or the way you wrote it feels a bit rude...
I have hopes for your feedback but.. be nicer.

With all due respect pukey, this was a bit uncalled for. I agree with your main point that CL perhaps wasnt covered in detail as much, but that didnt take away from a good podcast. The time limit forced them to make some changes. Plus your criticism is extremely non-constructive. What would you have done differently? You say "know who you are talking to", well then we should even more appreciate what Supremcee and co have been able to do. This is probably the first and last time Purah will ever do something like this. Also, Purah himself expressed his enjoyment at the end, and i could tell he was genuine. If this was an interview for a gaming magazine i would expect a more organized format, but what a gaming fan forum is concerned, this was much better than what your comment describes.

I would love to talk about Calendras Legacy a lot more but interview turned into one based around purah. Would you like us to talk about Calendras Legacy in greater detail? We had a lot of material prepared that we couldn't use.

I feel a little bad for missing out, I had been very sick the prior days and still woke up like dog poop and my voice was very nasally, didn't want to come on feeling like I was. I wish I had been there though to correct some of the dromed talk mistakes from my cohorts. "Cell limit went from 8k to 32k"???!?!? Really Nex!? Shame on you :p
But in all seriousness, the discussion had been cut short due to Purah's schedule not lining up with what was planned for (We hoped for 2-3 hours but only got a little over 1). Kinda had to just focus on one thing rather than glance over what was planned. Personally, I would think talking to a game dev about his journey from simple modding to actual career in gaming would be a far more engaging topic of discussion (perhaps even inspirational for some people here?) than asking him questions about a set of 18+ year old missions he's probably lost much of his memories on.
But that's just me, I know some people do really love the missions he put out and that's fine, and hoped we just continued the ongoing gush-fest for them.
Personally speaking, as an aside, I did NOT enjoy Midnight in Murkbell or the first mission in that CL set either.

I want to make clear that I don't blame Anthony for having less time than we expected. It was just an unexpected fact that brought us into a bit of trouble.
I like it, that this episode gained some interest and since most of the feedback is very positive I'm happy with it. I can understand that the expectations on an episode like that are very different and high in all directions. I see it like that: Since people expected something great, our former episodes were good enough to expect something good from us which is awesome. I can totally understand that the episode might be a bit of a letdown to some people but you can't satisfy everyone. I admit that during the conversation we maybe missed some oportunities to go deeper even if he was ready...but as I will explain later in that post, it was a bit tricky and unexpected at a certain point
To be honest, and Nex can confirm that, in our pretalk with Purah it was already clear that it was not in his interest to go deeeep into all the lore and creation details, which is understandable after 17! years. He has moved on, and as Psych0sis said, even without all the details about CL, he had interesting things to tell and I think that's the point...if some of you are just into DromEd/mission details then this episode is not for you maybe, but others seem to feel very satisfied to hear those things from such a legendary author. And as klatremus pointed out, this might be the last time he might be available in a Thief related context, so please try to see this as a last letter from a beloved former community member that tells us what happened to him and how he is today.
For me personally, since I'm not into DromEd and editing stuff, this was way more interesting than going step by step through that. As I said, he is such a great personality and when we finished the record and said goodbye in the discord, I realised two things: we were able to bring someone back for 1hour+ that is missed and respected by the community to this day and second, that i will never talk to this great and interesting, nice person again which made me a bit sad.
But on the other hand, we managed to do something that most people wouldn't believe is possible to bring him back for a short time. So I'm very happy with the outcome especially if you look at the circumstances, you can all believe me that it wasn't easy to arrange this....and I don't know why I feel the urge to defend this episode, but even without pukeys ungainly feedback here, i heard some "dissapointment" from other sources.
I have no problem with negative feedback because for next time this might change our approach for something like this episode and it always helps us to develop but as we say in germany "the tone makes the music" :D
this is a project from the heart and behind the scenes it costs alot of time and even money....so to all the disappointed people...please consider all this and keep it in mind for future disappointments :P I love to do this and I'm grateful for every feedback that's constructive..actually I'd love to hear more criticism because most of the feedback here officially is the positive one, from other sources I always get some negative feedback second handed...so please do it here, do it offically and do it correct.
Thanks to everyone listening and supporting it!
