PLZ help!!!!!! OBSE + oblivion game of the year edition not working!!!

:confused::(:confused::(Hey guys, i recently bought tes IV game of the year edition, so it comes with the game and all of the expansion packs. So im trying to run OBSE (to apply the thief's arsenal mod) but a popup keeps coming up saying that my version of oblivion is unknown. im not pirating and im not using a no-cd crack. PLEASE HELP!!!!! Ive tried everything!

Hi,
first off, I'm no technomage so I really haven't got a clue what's wrong here.
"version of oblivion is unknown" might suggest that OBSE fails to recognise your version of Oblivion somehow.
Are you runnning an outdated version of OBSE?
Did you download your version of Oblivion from Direct2Drive?
Have you looked at the troubleshooting at

This reminds me of trouble reinstalling Oblivion with SI already added.
I don't remember the details (and can't find my notes) but it might
have had something to do with which patch I was trying to use.
Whatever it was, OBSE didn't like it / wouldn't run it.
