im having trouble downloading some mods. what i usually do is open each individual file like meshes and textures and then paste the ones from the mods in is there an esier way?

Most of them should be in some type of compressed file. Just extract this into the directory and make sure the option to preserve the zip file folders is selected.

Also, be sure you're extracting it into the right folder. There is an annoying inconsistency in this respect, meaning you usually have to check every mod. Right click on a zipfile and click 'explore' to look at the zipped files. If you see a Data Files folder, then you must unzip into the Morrowind folder. If you see the ESP file and the various folders for meshes, textures, etc., then you unzip into the Data Files folder.
Hope that isn't too confusing, I just woke up ;)

When i try to just save the file its always called data files. And it asks if i want to replace it and delete my morrowind files. And renameing it messes it up too.

I say this hesitantly, but go ahead and allow the mod to replace the Morrowind files. Often it won't overwrite anything. If it does, it will overwrite files needed for the mod.
Just remember to backup save games and, if worse comes to worst, just reinstall the game.

im scared how do i back it up

Just copy your Saves folder and paste it somewhere out of the way, such as your desktop.

i downloaded better heads and read the readme. it says its supposed to come with an auto installer but it didnt or i cant find it does anyone know about this maybe i need to download it from another place idk.

Better Heads definitely comes with a self-installer. The download file will be Better Bodies (version number).exe. This is the self extractor. Double click it and it will automatically detect where Morrowind is installed, then unzip its files accordingly and automatically.
Better Heads, if it's in a self-extractor, should do the same. I can't remember if it did.
