Where/how did Shodan get on the Von Braun? Maybe I repeatedly missed an audio log somewhere along the way.

In Deck 2, in the crew rooms and lounge section, theres a log, an emal by Delacroix to Polito talking about an artifact that was recovered in Tau Ceti V, that contains an AI that speaks english. The artifact was a part of the grove jettisoned from the Citadel and shodan was on it. She must have connected the artifact to some terminal to study it, from where she just jumped to the rest of the ship's network. (my opinion)

Bayliss finds the data wafer on Tau Ceti V. He's immune to the Many's call and decides to give it to Dr Janice Polito who developed the Xerxes prototype, a constrained version of the same computing power that generated SHODAN.

Thank you for link and explanation. I scapegoat the notepad pda for my ignorance. ss1 I poured through the logs to figure out which one had an access code. This one just told me once I heard it once.
