Currently using a GTS 250, so yeah, that should be fine then.

After the DOA Samsung 275T+, I got a Samsung 245T, and I'm going to return that as well. The monitor turned on (good), looked nice, but had a very noticeable ghosting and a halo effect on objects in Thief (!!?) not good. Back to my old reliable Hitachi CRT.
Maybe I'll try a larger CRT instead next time. :weird:

Does anyone have any opinions on the (
http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-W2361V-23-inch-Monitor-50000/dp/B00261VAMI) LG W2361V?
Looks like a decent enough Monitor for an alright price. From what I've seen the specs are decent (80% Colour Gamut I recall?). Does anyone know of any better monitors within this price range? (£140-£180). Running on a bit of a budget with Christmas coming up. Will be used for some gaming but mostly my 3D work so would like a monitor that can portray colours at least decently enough.
It's very hard picking out a monitor isn't it? :weird:

I might get shot down for this, but consider getting a CRT! especially if you play Thief! My CRT died a few months ago and I've been a sad panda ever since... I've been having to play with a constant backlight from this LCD that breaks the immersion.
Somebody offered to sell me a big 21 inch CRT before I moved for $25, but they didn't bring it in time. :(

I ended up getting a Samsung 2494SW on sale for $210 shipped. Solid review over at PRAD Review, sounds great for the price range - my only concern is the 5ms response time (when buying it, I didn't realize that my previous monitor was 2ms - and it did seem I could tell the difference between that and my old 6ms Dell). Also no HDMI port, which I (belately) realized would be useful for a PS3, but I can always get a HDMI-to-DVI adapter. In restrospect, I maybe should have gotten the Asus VH236H from Newegg - has 2ms and some decent reviews - but I don't trust them as a brand as much as Samsung.

Are you seriously debating between 2ms and 5ms? My monitor has 12ms while my TV is hovering around 16 (it's a 2005 model) and I don't notice it. Logically speaking, at 60 Hz/60 fps, you shouldn't have issues with anything less than 16 ms, which is a single frame. Even if you were somehow running at 120 fps on 120 Hz, you'd still be fine with anything at under 8 ms.

Good to know!
