???
Most of the feedback you got was constructive. More people than not were complimentary of your piece too.
You wonder why people get annoyed?

'IIT': GMD won't own up to a simple misunderstanding and simply backpedals because it's less embarrassing.
It's okay, GMD. We won't think any less of you.

I realize that a vast majority of the criticism has been constructive, and I DON'T UNDERSTAND why YOU and VIVIAN are annoyed. Anyone who, after a first round of citicism, finds a second round not worth it, perfectly fine. It could be that I was able to elucidate why the criticism doesn't particularly apply due to my target audience, or it could be that the person critiquing simply doesn't like the essay. Just isn't their thing. That's not necessarily a problem with the essay.
No call for action can satiate the entire population, or have the consent of the entire intellectual class for that matter. I'm
trying to reach as wide an audience as possible, but there has to be a compromise. If I sacrifice the message and purpose of the piece, it's no longer a call to action. I've made a great many changes to the verbiage and approach thanks to the helpful criticism of some ~3-4 people here, one person on systemshock.org, and 2 people in an unrelated community. I couldn't possibly proceed without this criticism and thank you. Now, I'm done trying to justify myself to the people who I simply
irk with my mere presence and will waste no more of my time defending myself against them.

If you don't understand the annoyance, try to imagine you've just taken the time to read someone else's work, for free, and then given them your honest ideas for ways to improve it.
Then that person has basically dismissed your input and acted generally like a pissy teenager.
Your lack of self-awareness is astonishing. You sense of entitlement to other people's praise more so.

I *hope* you will stick around to provide feedback on my next edit.
