You found the lamest ending? Does that mean that you ended the game
at the Wish Granter?
I actually don't consider that an ending. To me that's basically the same as being killed by some enemy.

I don't know what's wrong with me.
Just keep playing and really soon you'll have a good grip of game's mechanic, understand how to beat enemies etc.
The very first quest of Sidorovich with only a handgun is kind of hard, yes. But soon you'll find something more useful.
Quicksave often too. The game isn't really that hard. Also you can change difficulty in options on the fly.

Well, yes it's not really
THAT hard, but it's certainly hard
ENOUGH. :cheeky:

Both statements are fairly irrelevant as the game is both hideously easy on novice and nightmarishly difficult on master. In fact, I reckon that stalker on master is harder than doom (the very first) on nightmare.

Man, if it was early April I could have been the author of this thread.
Just hang in there, I went through identical issues, except the bobbing didn't make me sick.
The game is bloody hard at first, just let the guys at the bandit camp do the shooting and then you collect all the stuff of their bodies. There you get a shotgun and maybe a machinegun if I'm not mistaken, and plenty of ammo and health items and food.
Now go back with the extra guns to the trader and sell for money. This is the lifestyle of a packrat in a game like Stalker.
This was my first experience with a gun fight, it only got worse from this point and I was on the edge of giving up in Agroprom, but I hung in there and ended up stealing from the military, that gave me the feel of rambo. :p

Well, I am playing on Novice difficulty, and am just up to approaching Agropom to get the documents. I am finding it quite challenging, but not impossible. (keep in mind I am utter crap at most fps games). The thing I really enjoy is coming up with different solutions for tricky situation, its never the same twice. I have already put about 12 hours of gameplay into it, but I really took a lot of time exploring the Cordon and Garbage areas.
A far as combat goes, I find accurate headshots really hard to get, so my weapon of choice at the moment is the shawn off shotgun. I use boulders, cars and other obstructions to hide, wait until the bandits/military come looking for me, then BAM in the face! Works well so far, probably wouldnt be so effective on a higher difficulty level.
Hangin out for Agropom to see my first mutants.

The shotgun trick works great early in the game, I found the pistol to be as useful as pouring water over the heads of the enemies so I preferred launching a bunch of pellets over one weak bullet.
Then come the machine guns like Akm 74, and later the assault rifles (I love the GP37), when the latter of the two arrive; the game gets "ramboic".

Ya me too D'arc,I will see the other endings in time,
the ones that don't make me rich :D
The point is that you're not supposed to end the game
at the Wish Granter.
The 'real' ending is the one you get
at the secret lab.
:)

Surely the one a little after that is the best one...
