Hi, I've looked all over on all the Morrowind sites and cannot find the answer to my problem -- I can't figure out how to cast a spell or a scroll. I've got lots of magic scrolls but don't know how to use them. If I pull it out of my inventory and left click on the room I'm in, it just drops to the ground like any other object. I pick it up with the space bar and it opens, with the elder language, and the only option is take, so I do. When I take it out of inventory and drop it on my character, it just opens again and the options are close or take. Nothing I do gives me the ability to use it, and let me tall you, there have been many times when I needed to use Almsivi Intervention in the Red Mountain area! Could you please tell me how to go about arming myself with the scroll and using it?
Also, the Morrowind game disc I have came with my new computer system and I don't seem to have (or can't find) any manual or documentation that might have come with it, including any maps. Is there anywhere that I can find the maps? I've really been lost and had to basically just wander around and around in circles, many many times, before I found where I wanted to go.

Any spells you know or scroll you are carrying will appear in the Magic menu. Go into your character screen, there should be four menus: Inventory, Map, Character Stats and Magic. Select the spell you want to cast from the list then close the character screen. The spell icon will now appear next to your weapon icon. Pres the key you've mapped for 'Ready spell' and left click to cast.
