Preamble to my question:
I have noticed that I tend to max out, level-wise, at around 75. But I have read that you can use the secret master trainers to continue gaining levels - and - lo and behold - it is true. Even after maxing out in all my major and minor skills, if I keep paying a master trainer, I make progress toward level increase and gain levels. Now, my ability scores are maxed out at this point, and so are my skill points (everything is at 100 basically). Additional training does not change my skill point score number, but does allow me to achieve higher levels. This training has to be done with master trainers in my minor and major skill areas.
Here's the question:
Does the skill I train to gain these additional level actually improve, or do my skill-related benefits/modifiers peak once the skill is at 100 anyway?
i.e., if I train with Hecerinde (security master trainer) past the skill rating of 100, just to gain levels basically, is my security skill actually improving, or has it reached it's max off the screen as well as on the screen?
Does the skill improve but I don't see it? Because I don't want to log in extra time for the purpose of leveling up with a trainer whose skill area isn't critical for my future endeavors - I'd like to be more selective if it actually makes a difference.
Thanks!

I know no answer (I know that your skills cannot reach more than 100, except you turn into a vampire then your skills can rise to more than 100 points)
However I have one question :) Could you name all master trainers you know? I remember only two of them at this time.

Hrm... while I have no definitive proof, I believe your skills don't increase in some hidden number buffer. As you can use the console to set a skill > 100, such skills can exist; further, I believe that if you try to increase a skill past 100, it stays at 100. As such, and as trainers almost certainly use the 'increase' script call (as it's easier), I believe your true skill rating stays at 100.

An easy way to check would be to train your chosen armor type repeatedly past 100. If your armor rating displayed below your paperdoll does not go up then you would know there are no hidden skill values. :)
