With the enhancement of graphics and eveything else, it is sure to be awesome.
That is why I like Theif, it reminds me of UW.
As you can tell by my name, i love the Underworld!

As I've said in my message when I subscribed the petition, I'm not entirely convinced of the interest in making an Underworld w/o the Ultima bit, and I think you don't make it quite clear enough. Origin, I believe, still owns the Ultima trademark, and it isn´t going to allow it to be used for another LG game; the same goes to Britannia, the Avatar etc.
My question then is whether it's really so important that LG make a game called Underworld III? I mean, in what would it be different from any other 3d RPG, and where would it connect to the other Underworlds in order to justify its name?

Náredhel, I'd love to have LGS make a third Underworld game, be it connected to the Ultima universe or not. For the very reasons you stated, it's highly unlikely we'll see another Ultima Underworld. I wouldn't mind the game not having any story connection with UUW 1 and 2, as long as it would incorporate the same wonderful feeling of exploration and being there, as the originals - a sequel in spirit.
As long as the game would maintain the high quality of the original Underwold games, I couldn't care less what they decide to call it. By the way, as far as I know, there aren't many 3d RPGs coming out these days, none that would be even close to the standard of the Underworlds at least.

I agree whole-heartedly. What we're all looking for is a game that will give us the same feeling of immersion that UWI & UWII did with the same sort of medieval fantasy theme, with at minimum the features and functionality of UWII, but taking advantage of the graphical capabilities that exist now.
Everyone at Looking Glass would be more than happy to work on it, but it's up to the people who hold those rolls of red tape.
I've never played a game since UW that completely captivated me. Everything was perfect (for technology at that time) the mood music, the interface, the story and NPC interaction. Perfect. A perfect game that I will never forget.
