I'm trying to texture a mesh in Max but whenever I add it, the mesh turns white. I got the matlibs working before but now this problem has appeared out of nowhere. I tried deleting the matlib I imported and reimporting it again but had no luck.
Does anyone know what to do?
Thanks,
SS

Well, actually it should turn white, this means it has a material applied. You can see it after rendering the scene or use the metal bump property in material editor and put the texture there to see it on mesh in the perspective view. Oh, and remember to use the UVW map modifier right after applying the material, otherwise you won't see it, neither on a rendered image, nor in perspective view.

I neither rendered the scene nor used the metal bump property before and the object would show the texture on it. I tried both of those things and neither worked. Rendering gave an error message saying the mesh had no map co-ordinates........no idea how to fix that. If I add the UVW Map property then the mesh turns black(along with the texture in the material browser, the whole square not just the sphere) or turns invisible.
Another problem that's arisen : I was making an arch using the box tool and applied the bend modifier. When I bent it to the side the modifier bent how I wanted it to (you can see this shape 'ghosting' the mesh) but the actual mesh just stretched diagonally to the side until it was flat. Like the textures, there was no problem with this a couple of days ago.............

As for size limitations: You've got a [...] property limit (which I've never hit, but Nomad has)

Exceeded maximum property storage count of 61440. Must raise the limit and recompile.
Please tell me anyone has found it by now. :erg:
Edit: (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1172466#post1172466) Looks bad. And looks like I'll have to get rid of a lot of shadows as well.

This is a weird one, and I don't know if anyopne can help, but I'm getting some annoying errors. Deathwater volumes and climbing ropes are no longer working for me. On the first one, if I load up one of the original maps, the deathwater works fine, but on my map nothing happens. And on the ropes, about 2 days ago they stopped being climbable. I can stick to them, but cant go up or down. any ideas?

Water volumes tend to lose their function as well as normal volumes when they are re-sized or moved etc.. Try to wrap the builder brush (mine always wraps half a mile away, but at least the size is correct) and build it again. No idea about the rope arrows, though, if you haven't changed your system to something dual core like.

Beleg, before jumping any conclusion, I want to understand what is the problem exactly. I'll be happy to poke around your unr file tonight if you wish, just pm me.
That thread you linked is about arhcetypes, nothing about shadow/lighting bsp etc. "size" limits.
There are still, I believe, lots of myths going around the what the engine is capable of "size"...
How many ai you have, how many dynamic lights you have? The number of zones? Number of new custom classes?

No idea what this crash is, and I'm not getting any Dromed note.. just the generic Windows "Send Report / Don't Send Report" that lets me know nothing.
Anyhoo, hoping this is a common problem (please??? lol) instead of my old machine, here:
Everytime I try to generate a report with "dump everything" Dromed crashes. Optimization, game mode, and all etcs. work just fine, and generate report even works fine up to the "dump everything" level. Anyone know what the dealio is?

Unfortunately the DromEd forum is one level below. :p
