Unregistered texture is easy: right-click on the mesh, select Add skin (might be in a sub-menu, but it's at the bottom of the list either way), and type the new name into the little box that comes up - I'd recommed naming it after the new texture, or of the mission, so that it's easy to reuse later.
Moving things isn't really a question for the "newbie questions" thread, but it depends on how you mean making it move: do you want it to slide, open like a door, move up and down, what?

Hi guys...
This is a simple question but hard to explain...
I remember an issue with Drom Ed (at least what I had been told) where it did not like brushes being alligned with other brushes on the same gridlines, right up against each other. As it would make them 'fight' for dominance and which would be displayed.
Meaning it would always be best to push the second brush (say, a corridor) slightly into the other brush (say, a big room) even if by a few inches?
Or to have the columns in the room not actually touching the ceiling or floor, again an inch off the floor.
So basically you shouldn't have them touching as they would try to show 'over' the other one and cause a strange flickering effect.:wot:
Does this happen in T3? Or do I not have to worry about that? would be good if it is not the case!
That probably wasn't explained well, if so let me know and I'll try again.
Cheers!:thumb:

Hello, I manages to solve the previous problem, thnx for help on the nav mesh.
I have Thief 3 and T3 Editor installed properly in different directories but when i recently tried to play thief (havent finished game yet) i get a "T3 has encounted an problem and must close" error message and it crashes, I believe somehow the editor is messing with my T3 game, because o reinstalled thief and it played fine, but after using the editor and trying to play thief it stuffs up again!:(
Any help welcomed plz
Thanks!:thumb:

Benvox - sounds like you need the Launcher tool: running the game or the editor messes up the registry settings for the other, but the tool lets you swap between them.
Can't remember what it's called, since I just use the one install, but you'll find it (or links to it) in this thread and otherwise about the place: I *think* it's Dramfloc's ThiefLauncher, and there might be direct link off the wiki.

I have a hidden wall that I want to slide into the floor, and a crypt that I
want to slide a few feet to reveal another room. how to do it.

Thanks,
I do have the launcher tool already but never really knew what it did I only ever use it to launch the editor.
So when I want to play just Normal T3 from my "untainted" directory I should only use the launcher instead of say my desktop icon?
Thanks again!

Or at least use it to Activate Thief 3 before playing from your usual shortcut, if you have the latest version.

You need to attach your mesh to an elevator and set the start and end points.
For the wall dropping into the floor, the rest of the wall will be bsp, and the one section will be a static mesh. You can hollow out a rectangular section below, or just have it move through a solid floor.
