Now I've had time to think about it, I think this might have come up before, and it was a corrupted install. I may be barking up the wrong street, but I think it was a case of re-download the editor and reinstall it and everything worked fine.
Try digging a few pages back in this thread and see if you find anything, but as I say: I think that this has come up before, and it was just a case of somehow mangled install.

Might be worth seeing if there are any newer graphics drivers too.

Problems again...
I can't create actors from specific categories( pawn-aipawn, moving-hinged).
I select them, right-click one of the views, select add but nothing happens.
I was curios and tried it on a new map, still nothing. It's weird because it works on my starter map!
Thing is that I can't remember what could have caused it. I haven't touched the editor in a month or so and now this thing doesn't work. It must be because of something I've done back then, but I can't remember...
Ideas?
EDIT: I've reinstalled the editor and I still have the same problem. I tried to copy actors from other missions, actors that I knew I couldn't create.I pasted them, everything seemed to go right until my next build all or until I tested it ingame, moments when they disappeared...(aparently they disappear when I build the geometry)
I have a feeling that this is from the gamesys and I want to load my starter map(in which they work normally), export all scripts, save the package and then load it my mission. The problem is that I can't find the saved package, where the hell does it store it?

A little bit off-topic and not something I'm really concerned about at the moment, but I've noticed that if you load an om and play it through the editor, the performance/fps is much lower than it is in the normal game.
Will this happen with our missions too?

Hey everyone, im new to this site/forum and Learning to use the Thief3 Editor from a guide I got from KomagTut which is really good because I have no experiance with any sort of game editing!
I have a small problem which is im sure very easily fixed.
Well I have made a small room and when I add meshes such as wooden beams they show up in the 2D windows but not the 3D window, and when I test it they all show up.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks~!

Welcome to the forums! :cheeky:
Regarding the problem, I don't see anything that could cause this when the flesh renderer(ION) is turned off. Still, when it's turned on, there is an option amongst many others, located right above the 3d view that is called 'toggle flesh object drawing' that when selected eliminates all meshes from the 3d view.
Other than this, I don't know what could cause it.

You could also try selecting the window and pressing W on the keyboard a couple of times - it toggles if staticmeshes are visible or not in the editor (doesn't affect them in game - it's just a quick hide/reveal of if you need it while building)

Hey,
Thanks heaps for all the help guys, turns out it was the "selecting the 3D window and pressing W" that fixed it, I knew it would be something very simple and easy!
Now I can see the meshes when ION (flesh Render) is on or off.:D
Again, thnx alot for help.

He gets to everyother waypoint but not the one down a short set of stairs!
