*prepares to leave her mark in history by asking the most newbie question ever*
I'd just like to know if there is a tutorial for the editor anywhere... Just the basics... Where to start, how to end, and so on. I've just installed the editor and the only thing I've found is a throng of intimidating tools and commands, and not even a 'help' menu.
Giant thanks to anyone who replies!!!

Thanks!
(Note, however, there's a difference between n00b and newbie)

I didn't mean it pejoratively, of course.

ok, i have 3 problems with T3Ed i need solved.
#1) Where the map view and whatnot is (kinda like in DromEd where you could tour the map and edit it and whatnot) gone. Definately going to need this fixed.
#2) When i try to do the "Add Properties" thing, the menu selection comes up greyed out, im not sure if this is because i was trying to do it with an OM or what, but its annoying as crap.
#3) One of my biggest problems, i cant get the editor to run the level. i get all the way to the end of the loading screen, and it just CTD's on me. :erg:
these are the problems i need solved before i could be able to do anything w/ T3Ed....
ummm.. hello?
hhheeelllooo??? are you guys ignoring me? its been 2 weeks since i last edited it..... are you jackasses going to help me or not?

This may have been covered previously, but since I'm assuming there are many Viktoria messages of death and a lot of newbie questions, I thought it might be quicker to do it this way.
Over the last 2 days I've struggled to get T3Ed (Or Ted, as I call it) up and running. The installation was fine, but my problems were that every time I tried to load a map from the game, it would just close. Then I had problems going into the game to test my own map. Having happily gotten through those problems I finally started making my mission.
But, without altering anything at all, I decided to restart my computer. When I tried to open Ted, it gave me one of Viktoria's lovely notes.

Never had this, but the most obvious suggestion: do you have the file WEPaiSWORD.tim (33k), located in CONTENT\T3\StaticMeshes\INV_WEAPON_UI\AI_Weapons? If that looks ok, it could be a path problem located somewhere in either your user.ini or (more likely) your System\DEFAULT.INI.
Also, are you using separate editor/game install directories and T3Launcher?
Thiefs_Shadow on 2/8/2006 at 10:31
I've got both my T3 folder and my T3Ed folder seperated, but they're both in a single folder together, as well as the launcher, tutorials and things like that. Previously I'd tried the launcher with mixed results (I was having the problem where it just wouldn't do anything) and found the short-cut method worked better. I tried the launcher again and though it tried to open the editor, it came up with the same message.
So I checked for the WEPaiSWORD where you suggested I look. There is no static mesh folder in my CONTENT/T3 folder, only Skeletal Mesh, and its not in there. I haven't changed what files are here, so I'm not sure if this is the problem.
Any thoughts?

Erm....
If you have the correct version of TDS (as in not a legally downloaded copy, but one off a disc from a shop), and you've installed the editor to it you ought to have a CONTENT/T3/StaticMeshes folder.
If you haven't, you're ether in the wrong folder - by which I mean your game version rather than the editor-installed version, or something has screwed up royally.
(Since you have two versions - which does the editor shortcut point to?)
Beyond that though, you can create the folder just fine if it's going in the editor and complaining about missing stuff in the game.
