Im desperate to rekindle my youth and play Ultima underwolrd 1 and 2.
Is there anywhere i can download them from...ill buy them if i have to.
Also I know there are a few bugs etc...any sources where i can download patches and get the game to actualy work..would be great.

BTW im running windows 2000.
I have found resources for 98 and ME.
Has anyone managed to get UW to work on 2000?

My first post and I am helping :)
I got Uw to work on Xp using the patch from this site. It says it will work on nt/2000/xp. It should work on uw 1 and 2 :cheeky:

I also use VDMS for the sound and that work's great as well.

I also would like to find a download site. I have a Classics cd w/UW1&2 on it, but there is a corrupted install file on it, so I can't load it om my machine. Anyone know where I can get it on the web?

Hi,
the files can be extracted with the lha.exe that is (or should be) in the game's install folder. Just type
lha x *.lzh
All needed files should be extracted in their specific folders and you should be able to play (with the patch from SirCabirus' page) uw1 then.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. This should be very cool. If it plays as well as System Shock w/the XP patch and VDM sound, I'll have 2 new games. Let you know.

Couldn't get LHA to unpack, but found a work around, loaded the NT patch + VDM and was able to run the intro. However, during character creation, when trying to type in a name, the system locks up. Any ideas?
