For your reference, a timeline of the 3rd Era is right here: (
http://til.gamingsource.net/history/3.shtml) :)
So if we take 3E370 (birth year of the Arena hero) as a starting point, that would make your character age like so:
29 at the beginning of Arena (3E399)
35 at the beginning of Daggerfall (3E405)
57 (!) at the beginning of Morrowind (3E427)
63 (!!) at the beginning of Oblivion (3E433)
You'd mostly likely have to be Breton, or one of the Elven races for that to work. Or have to be a vampire for periods to preserve your 'youth' as it were for the other races. Or say that the Morrowind/Oblivion hero is a descendant of the first, perhaps? That would help explain Uriel not knowing who you were in ES 3&4 - and would also make sense to send a proven agent to deal with the plot in Daggerfall
It's that huge gap between Daggerfall and Morrowind that makes it hard for non-Elven(or Breton) characters to seem 'realistic'. I know in modern times 63-year olds can be quite active, but I'm not sure that would work so well in a medieval society.
....And no, I hadn't thought of doing this myself at some point, why do you ask?

That´s very interesting.
Yeah I can see the player of ES4 being a son of the one in ES1-2.
Althought if someone is just crazy to play the same hero there is nothing that imagination can´t fix. Just say that your hero is a cursed being that is immortal and everytime he dies he changes his appearance and loses his memory.
That could explain the Morrowind´s
Nevanarine ressurection
Trajan, one of the Roman Emperors, successfully led an army and fought alongside his soldiers to eventually conquer Dacia. He also fought in wars in the Middle East. He was 48 for the Dacian wars and, when he took the city of Seleucia (after taking a number of other cities beforehand), he was 63 years old. True, he wasn't falling from 20 feet up and he wasn't fighting demons and things.
But he also wasn't--EXTREME SPOILER, don't read if you haven't beaten Morrowind and Shivering Isles :)--the Nerevarine and a full-fledged God.
It's possible. Not recommended. But he could be the same person if you really WANTED it to be.

In Oblivion they refer to the Nerevarine heading North to deal w/something or other. Since that is
your character from Morrowind
it is impossible to be the same character into Oblivion.

Rumours don't necessarily have to be true.
RyushiBlade on 15/9/2007 at 19:57
Also, Cyrodil is a long way from Morrowind. Rumours travel at the speed of... mouth? There's a chance that by the time word of the Nervarine's exploits reached the Imperial City, his duties were long since over in the north.

Surely you are not impugning those who relate rumours, such as trustworthy M'aiq? :p

Well he was right on the statue under the water and the naked liches so I see no reason to distrust him. Haven't tried horse yet though.

I stand by my statement. IMHO, this was an extremely deliberate move on the part of the developers.

the Nerevarine and a full-fledged God.Oh, snap. I forgot about that little 'side-effect'
(of not aging anymore :weird: )you pick up in the Morrowind main quest. Perhaps a one hero playthrough is possible after all :D
And the 'rumors' can get bent - I know what -my- hero's been up to, and it's not 'seeing the world and freezing my @^$* off' up North, either ;)
