Would it make sense to play from ES1 to ES4 as the same hero ?
How would you reconcile the fact that the King doesn´t recognise you in the beggining of each game after ES1 ?

Are you planning to finish TES 1, 2 and 3 at level 1? Plus, the games handle races, skills and most things pretty differently, how would you explain going from five major and five minor skills to just seven major skills? What about all of the skills/spells that aren't in all of the games? What about all of the spells you learned in previous games? What about having to join and rework your way up all of the guilds and the blades from scratch at the start of each game?
It seems to me that you could potentially play through all of the games with the same character build, and with a good deal of imagination/cheats you could pretend that they were the same person.
A better idea would be for you to single-handedly port TES 1, 2 and 3 to the Oblivion engine, keeping the best advancements from Oblivion. I'd say you should start with Morrowind - Daggerfall would likely have to passed down your family for generations to come.

If you're talking about playing as the same hero, fictionally speaking, in all four games: Probably not.
I'm fairly certain that TESI - IV span a much longer period of time than any life span. Also, in Morrowind you become the Nerevarine. There's no accounting for that in any of the other games. Certainly the king would at least have some idea about the Nerevarine.
You might be able to do it by ignoring some small inconsistencies. But it doesn't fit.

As far as I know ES1 starts with Uriel Septin as king of Tamriel. And in ES4 you meet him again. You even get a free journal showing the life of the King from ES1 to ES4. The King explains in the first cutscene that he is more or less 83 years old. So everything from ES1 to ES4 happened in a single person´s lifetime.

Might want to throw in some spoiler tags there, Ryushi.

To be fair, I'm not sure Morrowind needs that any more.

Well not everyone's played it...
