The objective update in Songs of the Caverns is really rigged.
On expert difficulty it is completely legal to kill that one bowman in the tower.
Then you proceed through the caves, fight the Craymen and finally find the homeless guy who gives you the key and the opera map.
But sadly, your mission ends here if you took out the bowman. Because when Garrett decides to rob the opera house, a no-kill-objective appears and boom - Garrett violated his own "moral standards".
Slaughtering all the mages in the Lost City who probably only wanted to make sure the fire talisman is still there was morally acceptable for Garrett anyway.

I just saw today whileplaying an FM that T2 haunts run slower than T1 ones, about as fast as a regular Hammerite. Not sure why I never noticed it before. They also seem slightly less alert. Wonder why LG slowed them down?
So they're less of a threat since you can actually outrun them
They're just as dangerous and fast in combat as the originals so you still want to avoid a direct confrontation at all costs, unless you have flashbombs.
PS: I also went back to the Eavesdropping OM to double check in case it was FM specific, and indeed they are slower there too

Now that I think of it, maybe it had to do with removing bunny hopping. Slow down the haunts to give Garrett a chance.
But then, the assassins were still insanely fast if I remember

to the best of my belief, this ancient hammerite priest model was used on one of the dead hammerite priest corpses in the rttc/thc mission. My inquisitve mind keep inquiring about why this ancient hammerite priest model is heavily underused in FM and languishing in obscurity...

I still do not know, in Bonehoard, how to get that gemstone without triggering the traps. The one you have to go past the fireshadow and and shoot five firearrows to get to. I am sure I am jumping correctly over the light patch before the steps, but nonetheless the trap triggers. Then the seond lot trigger even if I put the skull in before taking the gem.
The Mystic's Soul is weighing down a plate that, when released, triggers the second trap. You can place a skull or some other object on the pedestal immediately after taking the gem to weigh down the switch and prevent the trap from triggering. Definitely inspired by Raiders of the Lost Ark!

While browsing the wiki, found out the Eyeball plant in the T2 Maw was originally introduced in T1 as the (
https://thief.fandom.com/wiki/Periscope_Plant) Periscope Plant, but never got used in the game
Quote:
This creature cannot be found in any original Thief missions. It is very similar to the Periscope Eye, a device used in Cragscleft Prison, and is probably an early prototype for the Eyeball Plant. It has the appearance of a leafy outdoor plant with a long and thin central stalk on the end of which is a periscope lens. In order to access this creature in DromEd its name, "cameraco", must be entered into the Name: ModelName heading in the Properties menu of an object (preferably a periscope eye due to its similar design).
