So the plasma gun is all big and cool but im wondering is it worth lugging around? Like the GEP gun can blow walls and stuff but does the Plasma Rifle have any other use? And where is a good place to find clips for it? I have only found 5 so far in the game. Also what can u do with the Phosphorus Rockets? They are so weak what is their purpose?

Plasma gun seems to be an organics-only superweapon. Seems useless against machines. Its purpose seems to be to provide one-hit kills no matter where on the body you hit and save you ammo for your GEP gun (if you're a heavy weapon specialist) against killing people so you can use it on the machines instead.

I made a fuss because usually people start arguing about the Plasma Rifle being the "worst weapon ever." I don't understand why people make such a fuss. I don't have that many problems with it. In fact, it's one of my preferred weapons.

It doesn't help that one of the first places you find it is in a room being continuously circled by two militarybots...
I tried it out on them, came to the conclusion it was shit, never used it again. First impressions stick more than they should.
Conversely, BEING shot by it is really, really annoying, if only for the blinding effect.

Plasma Gun = great way to get rid of greasels and karkians, while the White Phosphur in the GEP are about the same, but also set stuff on fire...
Find a group of MJ12 troops and hit the ground near them: much hilarity ensues.

When I first came across that gun I thought it was awesome (PS20). I figured one shot only...must be good. What a piece of crap it turned out to be...shot this dude in the head...just a regular dude and all he did was turn around and kill me. For one shot only weapons the LAW is wayyyy better. That thing has an impossible blast radius.

Wow nice to know everyone loves this debate so much :eww: . Anyway thanks for all the info i will put it to good use. And the PS20 debate thing i actualy might be able to help for once :thumb: ! Use the PS20 from about 25 feet away and aim for the head, it kills instantly. Im not sure why but if u fire from less than that it only wounds your opponent who in turn turns around and blows you away.
