Also, Pirates 1 was good and orignal. Pirates 2 they made just for the money with no actual idea beforehand of what they were going to make, just like matrix 2 and 3. It was classic sequal shit, they ride off the success of a decent movie and make up some shit and put together another couple.
I didnt see pirates 2 in the theater and I wont see pirates 3 at all. When I think of matrix now I think of shit, whereas after the first movie, matrix was the shit.
Classic bullshit but as long as there are people who will watch it they will make it. This could also be directed at people that liked xmen 3 more than 1 or 2.

Pirates of the Caribbean is harmless fun and escapism!. It makes a change from all the Usual sometimes Rubbish.

I thought of The Dead Man's Chest as the first half of a movie rather than simply dismissing it as an attempt to capitalize on the success of the first one. It's cheesier than the first one, for sure, but it's a good ride if you just watch it without critiquing it.
