i use a powershot a80, but i dont know much about photoshop, so i only do some brightness/contrast. which is very little. and b&w convertion in some of course. no film because i'd be a waste of $$ for me. i have no job to waste money on this, but i'd love a really awesome analog slr and a darkroom! :-D
i used to have a sony camera, 2 megapixel (from 2003 till nov2006 or so) and that camera had no features. but it ruled.
and yeah, no people photos. the reason is that most of the places are deserted, and U'm kinda shy at taking people photos. and no family photos because, well.. i dont think they'd like me to post them there :-D
i have a thing for abandoned places tho'. i dont know what it is about them. i just cant say no to them. :-)

Yeah, some gorgeous photography in there mate, puts my point and shoot to shame (but that's more of a photoblog for keeping family up to date - despite it being distinctly OUT of date, heh). I'm looking to get a Powershot soonish, there's a big sale on digital cameras out here at the moment so I might finally get one. I'll definitely get it before my trip back to the UK in June.

I got to play with a Nikon D80 last Saturday. It was a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful piece of machinery, and really showed me what a good $1200 worth of camera can really do. Come tomorrow I'm gonna start selling plasma so I can afford one of my own.
Anyway, these are my 2 favorite shots. It was a stormy night out. Sky overcast, wind blowing in huge gusts, thunder off in the distance. A perfect night go to take pictures of creepy spooky bullshit.
For this shot, I parked my car in the middle of the road and sat the tripod between the headlights. Since we were trespassing, I set my friend, the owner of the camera, to watch for headlights. It was pretty tense situation. If we were caught out there I'm sure we'd both have been raped, killed, and thrown in a ditch somewhere. But having these little adrenaline rush thrills is half the reason why I go out to take pictures at 2 AM.
After coming home and doing a bit of photoshopping to even out the lighting, (

I wanted to take more. There was one spot in particular, an old dilapidated barn out in the middle of an abandoned farm, I wanted to take shots of. But it started raining out, and the owner of said awesome camera didn't want to get it wet. Hopefully he'll let me take it out this coming Saturday. If he does, I'll have alot more to show.

Needless to say the "honeymoon" photos weren't what I was expecting :(

Don't worry Renz, I think I like your photos the best (especially the one you just posted). Pbl's site doesn't work for me.

a d80 would be awesome to have, but i'm happy with my 4megapixel camera. it does what i want it to do.. but i saw a d40 for $280! no lens, but whatever. i can use my brothers :-D sucks, i'll have to save for three months. gah. not having a job sucks. specially when you want so many things :-)
and jackablade, if you cant access the site (i have no idea why you cant see it). you could go (

I was looking at your pics on the way to the Golden Spike, when I thought, "I should mention the cute cows out there in case he didn't see them." But you got the cute cows on film. The road out towards Corinne looks nice from the way you shot it.
Utah is a great place for photos, huh?
