Whilst using Photobucket during beta testing KoI, I was severely infected by a pop up, buy4now I think it was called (sorry have already taken laptop to repair man) I remember seeing that pop up and like with others just clicked to removed the ad, but since then in a whole range of folders various documents have appeared all linked to this buy4now site, other folders were locked and strange icons started to appear on my desktop....
So be careful with Photobucket, best do not use it at all

I had the same issue with Video pad by NCH Software, same advice as above avoid all software by by NCH.
My rule now is I only use paid or open source s/w, a lot of the so called freeware is infected up the wazoo with toolbars, silent installers, multi-reg entries that launch shit even after you have uninstalled the application.
Or you have the other side of the coin, perfectly fine free software that bundled with a third party installers from the likes of "Software informer" or "SoftTonic" that install adware or nagware without asking for permission. Avoid those two sites and anything like them like the plague.

Quite a few internet and email providers allow you to set up your own site for free.
So, why not make use of it?
It might take some time to get used to it, but you can upload or remove images as you like.
And at the end it's even more convenient to use once you got the hang on it.
Typically requires some setup and the right tools, though. But all for free.
