I'm not really 'back', unfortunately, so much as testing/debugging an app with a 30-minute load-time per instance :p (translation: the program's so bloody slow, it takes 30 minutes from the get-go to get to the point where the problem is... and if it crashes, I start over)

Working 9-12 hr days w/ no weekends bites the big one. Add on top that I don't get paid extra as I'm salaried, and I sometimes feel I'm in a 1800's Turkish prison. :erm:
Ah well... at least I have one spot of light; my younger brother's taking off a week from med school to visit, so I'll be taking the same week off and hosting a GURPS campaign for the duration :D
(Oh, and as far as taking it back far enough, I vote for the days when we huddled in writhing masses of single-celled life-forms; ahhhh, the good old days ;))

There are laws against working over 48 hrs a week in Europe; you could always relocate!
