I'm new and was wondering if I got an online petition for a WORKING SS2 XP Patch would you all sign it so I can send it to 2K and they would see how many people want to play old classics like it. I understand that it is pointless because they probably won't do it, but if they did wouldn't it be awesome? Rockstar Games did it with GTA 1 and GTA 2 so why couldn't 2K make one for SS2? Should i get a petition going? Come on! System Shock 2 isn't dead yet!!!!

Why 2K? They dont own anything System Shock related at all. They only own the Bioshock name etc.

Why at all? Yeah, maybe it takes a bit of effort to get SS2 working on XP. But it does work. There are already solutions out there. EA will never issue a patch for an almost 10-year old game.
The best anyone could hope for is that, due to the popularity of Bioshock: EA releases some kind of 10th Anniversary Edition SS2 in the near future. And maybe they'd throw in an updated SS1 as well? Pretty damn unlikely considering the IP and source code situation, but who knows.

I've never run into it...nor have i ever had an xp compatibility problem. I used mok's exe until your tool came out and that's all i needed to get it working.

All the times I have installed SS2 on XP, I have never experienced that bug before. :weird:
