Or even negative value, seeing as they exist in many times the numbers and concentration of their wild counterparts. And they run round all night killing everything smaller than a rabbit.

When they come out with a tuna that can keep my house free of pests, then we'll talk.

Just thought it could be interesting in this discussion:

Attempts by conservationists to eradicate cats in order to save birds on the sub-Antarctic island has caused an explosion in the rabbit population and damage to plantlife that will cost £11m to repair, scientists say

I'm sure if you hurled a kitten into shark infested waters, it'd barely last long enough to generate an amusing caption. Ditto for pirahnas.
And cats certainly kill other cats, so who knows what they do when they're feeling violent AND hungry?
Also, the fact that that link ended with "/sfw_factsheet" automatically made me assume there was a /nsfw_factsheet which talked about how salmon are all wankers, or something. There wasn't, sadly. :(

That's because sharks are dumb as shit and think everything in the water is a fish DUH

Do sea kittens grow up to become meerkats?

Interesting article. Shows what happens when man tries to meddle in blah blah blah, I'll ask my ecologist friend about it, I'm sure she'll have heard of it. Anyway, doesn't mean lots of cats = healthy ecosystem.

Those conservationists and me, in a sound-proof room. We would have so much fun.

You certainly do strike one me as a take-no-prisoners sort of tough guy.
