faetal good stuff, wouldnt necessarily say its all 80's though, somewhere between Killing Joke and Placebo. But yes the angst is real.
Vicarious your stuff isnt really my cup of tea but I did like track 6 quite a bit, certainly interesting and fairly dense kinda music. One thing I would say though is the volume levels on the tracks is quite low so maybe re-master them and use a limiter or something to increase loudness.

also heres something new from the vault, an ode to my favorite late-stage capitalist hero

That's deliberate because I don't enjoy the modern way of mixing where everything is as loud as possible with no regards to the loss of dynamics or even clipping. You can always turn the volume knob and you'll get the loudness. Of course I'm not saying that there's no room for improvement, far from that. But I had to say "it's done" at some point so I'll look into that in the future. Anyway, thanks for listening!

It wasnt even the modern thing where everything is just below the clipping point, as in I tested it with some of my stuff which I dont really limit too much and it was really low in comparison. Do you have decent monitors cos sometimes with just using headphones or pc speakers I have found that it might seem a good volume but then you try it on a regular speaker setup and its not like what you thought. Even just chucking your finished mix into something like audacity and clicking normalize would do the job.

Decided to start an Audioslave tribute band for a fun side gig. Long story short, they were a Rage Against the Machine band but their rapper flaked out and the bassist knew how much I love Cornell so he invited me to try out.
Anyway, kinda shit quality- literally the mic on a GoPro, but put this together tonight.

Suggest trying something like Ozone (think there's a free or cheap version at least) which has an auto-master feature to target either Streaming or CD level, which at least gets your track in the ballpark of reasonable loudness and you can tweak from there. One thing about streaming services is I believe some (like Spotify) limit tracks that are too loud, but they don't boost tracks that are too quiet so you should aim for something that compares to other stuff at least, without pushing the levels like back in the days of the "loudness wars". I think Soundcloud doesn't touch the level at all.
It's nearly Hallowe'en and I didn't plan it at all but I made this creepy song and video a few weeks ago and it seemed like a good time to let it go. Haven't posted any music here for years but I always got useful feedback and comments when I did, so. Content warning: ancient evil.

You've probably still have me blocked, but faetal, that is some seriously good music.

Hey thanks bjack. I reset my blocklists a while back since I don't come here much anyway and can't really remember reasons for blocking.
