Right now I'm playing thru the original Deus Ex and I find it incredibly good. Just never had a chance in the past, didn't get around to it, etc, Well, I'm glad I finally did. I actually got it for free on a CGW magazine CD with a number of complete games on it, Deus Ex being one. Anyway, my question is, was the 2nd one made by the same people, designers, etc. more or less? Was Warren Spector involved? I don't want to get into whether or not it's as good, not as good, or whatever, as the original. Just want to know how many of the Deus Ex designers, etc were involved with IW. BTW, this all applies to the PC version. Thanks very much.

Warren was involved in the second game, but not really as hands on from what I understand. The project lead was Harvey...can't remember his last name. At any rate, aside from them, I'm not sure how many of the original designers were on board.

Harvey Smith, the lead designer of the original, was project director. Ricardo Bare, who also designed the original, was lead designer on IW. Their writer, lead programmer, many of the designers and a fair few of the artists, testers and programmers etc. worked on both. Have a look at the mobygames pages for both games for details.
