Yeah. The PS version sucks ass.

Actually, the models have better animation, more detail, etc. That's about it though. I think they may have changed the intro a bit (not the voiceover, just what they show).
It's been changed to work with console controls. I'm not exactly sure what that entails, but I'd assume simplified hotkeys, aug selection, etc. Probably some sort of auto-aim too.
As for the actual game content, it's exactly the same.
Other then that, the PS2 version, as santaClaws so eloquently put it, sucks ass.
(slower, lower resolution, limited control, basically lacking in everything that makes any PC game superior).

In addition to the differences mentioned by Phydeaux, the maps in the PS2 version are different as well. They had to be changed in order to make the game playable on the PS2's limited hardware. You can also hotkey whatever augs you want to a single button, the power recirculator activates automatically, and the game uses a streamlined interface that makes things like updating skills and changing ammo a joy. Notably absent from the PS2 game, though, are the myriad compatibility issues that you can read about on this forum, ad nauseum; drop the disc in, and it works. End of story.
I'm guessing that if anyone who provided a glib, useless answer to your question had actually played the PS2 version, they would have mentioned these changes. The game most definitely does not "suck ass," and if certain people realized that the PS2 version's success means more and better games from ISA, they might instead hope for it to do well instead of acting like fanboys about it.
Yes, the PC version is better, but if the only way you can play DX is on the PS2, then by all means, you won't be disappointed. It's a great game on any system.

In addition, the Deus Ex theme is played by a real orchestra on the PS2 version.

My friend's computer sucks, so he got DX for PS2. It's actually pretty good, from what I've seen. Level design is a little bit of a change for the worse (due to PS2 capabilities). More loading points in the levels, so a liitle bit more straightforward corridors and such. What else? No laser sight mod. Other minor things. Oh, but they redid the bodies. You don't just throw a body and it lands flat. You throw a body and it kind of bends at the knees then falls. Pretty cool actually. They also redid keypads and anything that requires typing b/c of the obvious lack of PS2 keyboard. Inventory was also changed; I don't quite understand the new inventory setup. Overall, not as good as the PC version, but a solid alternative. Oh, and they did not change the intro.

They did change the intro. It is now a FMV.

FMV? You mean filmed with real actors? Are you sure? Or do you mean it's just a movie file instead of an in-engine rendered scene.
