I don't agree. There are situations in which you are forced to use broadhead arrows to get rid from some annoying guards, and there are no gas arrows available
Really ? I thought you were supposed to be able to complete a level without killing any AI
Oh well, another reason I won't be playing it then

Has it been confirmed anywhere that ambient noise masks your footsteps? That's impressive, if so (we always planned on doing that in The Dark Mod, but haven't managed it yet). It would be so impressive that I'm somewhat skeptical of it being released in a throw away comment buried in an otherwise stock article.
Not that I can remember. I would wait for a second reference before assuming it's true.

I was talking about situations in the original games. I never had the courage to finish the games on expert mode excepting DS, it just didn't feel fun

The one time that you *should* have quoted the post and you didnt! :p
Although I have noticed that you have gotten your quoting more under control lately.

It's been a while but I'm pretty sure I managed the original games without killing

And I'm sure I could have done it too, but on my playthroughs I got tired of quick reloading certain moments, so I used the cheap way
Notice that I'm the kind of player who likes to improvise according to the situations, instead of loading to last checkpoint when I am in trouble

I think I deserve a punishment :p

On the contrary, you deserve a reward! :D

Good way to play. That's how I play too.

Me too, I quicksave if I'm about to do something risky but I rarely reload.
Well, unless I'm exploring and trying a jump that's right on the limit say, then I may reload a few times but thats not playing the game thats seeing where I can get to, playing with the game if you like, something I'd do after completing the level.
I have completed the originals without reloading though.

I don't reload except on death and actually didn't know how to quicksave when I first started playing Thief.
Even without quickload I won't kill. I probably won't manage to ghost it but I will not kill... except possibly fire elementals though I have got through without killing them either. At the very least no human or burrick kills.
However I do enjoy finding an interesting way to avoid guards after being caught that doesn't involve hurting them (or flashjacking them because that mechanic although fun is kind of broken if you gather up enough guards). Also, once or twice I've decided to run out of the level rather than slip out - I find both equally satisfying.
The most fun moment in Thief has to be mantling onto something just before an unalerted guard touches you, or quickly jumping over a small wall (good place to do this is cragscleft near the hammers discussing cutty - pickpocketing them and then hopping over the wall JUST before they find me is possibly the best feeling in all of Thief and I can't explain it).
