Can I skip the lime and just go straight for the gin?
After reading the article, I wondered about this question that I'm posing to all: If the original Thief games had never existed (and try to imagine this as if you had never played Thief; and knew nothing of stealth gaming, the old PC controls, and the universe that we all love), would you be excited for this strange new game they're calling "Thief"? Do you think you'd probably like it? Would you want to play it? Would you want to be Garrett?

Yeses = 1
Noes = 2
- Starker: No, "no interest in playing modern interactive experiences"
- Robert4222: Yes, "It would definitely get my attention and get it once released"
- a PM from Esme: No, "really not interested in games that try to be interactive movies"

Dark atmosphere, getting in your way with no body noticing you, (confronting only if necessary) stealing precious and valuable goods... It would definitely get my attention and get it once released

The downside is that the water was masking my footsteps.
Has it been confirmed anywhere that ambient noise masks your footsteps? That's impressive, if so (we always planned on doing that in The Dark Mod, but haven't managed it yet). It would be so impressive that I'm somewhat skeptical of it being released in a throw away comment buried in an otherwise stock article.

"stealth dash" mode
Aka, Have a pacifier Garrett for being so bad at sneaking around in the shadows on Thief 4. :laff:
Seriously, if someone is not a master thief and needs to KILL to complete an objective, sorry to say but they are NOT a master Thief at all and should go back to playing Assassins Creed. :sly:

I don't agree. There are situations in which you are forced to use broadhead arrows to get rid from some annoying guards, and there were no gas arrows available in that particular mission
