Yeah, I can't think of any 'exclusive first review' off the top of my head that wasn't highly positive.

Black and White 2 was a PCG UK exclusive and they gave it mid 70%. PC Zone's came out a lot later and they gave it a score in the 90s.
BW2's reviews basically punished it for all the magazines overrating BW1, but that's another story.

And kids, always remember that the price of getting a new, long-awaited game for review early is something like "At least 7 pages and a score of 90%"...
Believe nothing, rather than everything, you read.

No problem. The best for me about the review is thay state...
"Garrett eat your heart out..."
"Oblivions stealth isn't quite as complex as thiefs, but the tricks at your disposal make it every bit as fun"
There is a is a sort of gem system simular to thiefs if you have thief skills, there is a lock picking mini game and the ability to check with a "life scan" through walls to check if guards are coming. You can also sneek.
Potential Thiefy quest spoiler...
One of the missions they discribe he has to pickpocket people to get into a cult cave, but then gets all his stuff taken off him and stuffed into a cuboard. He leaves by stealling all the stuff back before leaving, using his recovered wand to cast spells while jumping over heads to stealing the holy text and running out :)
I will definately be joining the thief guild as soon a possible!

:laff: Oh god, RE1 acting it's so damn hilarious:
"hope this is not Chris's blood"
"It seems he has been bitten by a poisonous snake, but the size of the wound is abnormally large"
It's all in the delivery.

Far too many games score above 90% in reviews. In fact, percentages are a load of crap for "scoring" games. The qualitative comments by the reviewer are far more important. I suppose if there are going to be scores, something out of 10 is better as a rough guide.
Naartjie on 13/3/2006 at 12:05
Nah, I like the percentage system. It allows true vindictiveness at the bottom end of the scale :)
