On Paul's email account (Ton Hotel, at least the first time you go there) there is a message that sounds like its from a female friend of Paul, possibly an intimate one, are there any references to her elsewere in the game? Do we know who she is?

I'm not sure, but I beleive that would be Maggie Chow. She had a relationship with Paul as I recall. But it's been months since I played Deus Ex.

IMHO I don't think she's Maggie Chow. However, Maggie mentioned that she knows Paul "intimately" -- Probably just a lie to gain your trust.:devil:

yeh...i remember Maggie saying that now, though i generaly operate under the suposition that everything she says is a lie. :D

hmm much more interesting actualy then i remembered it. Obvious romantic involvement. She travels and aparnetly sometimes shares the apartment with Paul...no this cant be Ms. Chow can it? just doesnt sound like her at all realy...

Maybe she's the french woman (supposedly from Silhouette) that tried to hack the UNATCO security. After a hack attempt of one of those, Alex had to change the important passwords at UNATCO (how convenient). [reference: Alex' email in mission 1]
After all, Paul likes Silhouette a lot. [reference: conversation with Paul just before JC goes rogue; main focus of Paul seems to be at this point that Silhouette gets the warning.]

As I recall, Nicolette Duclare was pretty obviously involved with Chad, and never even once mentioned Paul, not even noting a family resemblence between him and JC. I find it unlikely that Nicolette even knew Paul, much less was romantically attached to him.
