(
http://stalker.filefront.com/file/SANEX_ALIFE_MOD;79526x#1248402) SANEX A-LIFE MOD (4.2 Extended)
This is the total anarchy mod and it works with v1.0004 - sorry but it corrupts previously saved games.
Some of the interesting features I've seen so far:
good:
NPC's tossing bolts into anomalies.
Dog pack zergs.
Military patrols wandering off the road.
NPC's seem to be more aggressive - Bes acting like Rambo.
One new passive anomaly (might be more later).
Bad:
NPC panic mode needs to be reduced. Nimble indeed :p

But don't leave it just on the ground - it disappears eventually! Now I don't know if it's being carried off by other stalkers or just disappears, but I noticed that after I installed 1.0004.

Shoulda put the joker smiley there i guess :p
Nah i usually put my crap in one of the perma-corpses available in most zones, doesnt cause lags opposed to boxes. I once had one called Oleg Baggage or something, nomen est omen :cheeky:

Cute. I still don§t see any mention about fixing Find Weapon of the Dutyer Quest.
Still many fixes to go.
I wonder how many patches we're gonna see yet.

We'll be seeing a few hundred more if they keep up the "good" work.

This quest is not broken.
And with the upcoming Clear Sky, there won't be another patch, except maybe 1.1.

I started another runthrough with 1.0004, and it looks like the transition point from Cordon to Garbage is still having respawn problems. I was about to exit Cordon at the loading point when a bandit spawned right in front of me and rearranged my face with a shotgun. What exactly have they fixed in the single player game? I don't trust their changelogs anymore. :erm:

Patch 1.0004 changes and fixes:
Optimization:
1. Calculating detailed objects was moved to the second CPU stream.
^^^^
Don't know, but according to 2core CPU owners it seems so.
2. Engine optimization, which resulted in FPS 10-15% gain.
^^^^
It seems so, at least in static lighting mode.
3. Shaders optimization.
^^^^
A lie.
If you install Bardak's fix for 1.0004 patch from August,24 below fixes all will be true (also Bardak's patch additionally fixes some errors that weren't corrected by this patch, like "jumping" reputation f.e.), without it *some* of the fixes either work partially or don't work :) :
SP fixes:
1. Fixed the bug with shooting from the grenade launcher. The grenade is fired with the first shot now.
2. Fixed the disappearing weapons when crouching for a long time.
3. Fixed the game crash on Pripyat location, when the player approached any of the monolithians' camps.
4. Fixed Voronin's tasks to eliminate the bandit Poker.
5. Fixed the random quests at the Wild Territory.
6. Fixed the random task to destroy the bandits' camp at the Cordon.
7. Fixed the random Barkeep's task to clear the snorks lair at the Dark Valley.
8. Fixed the bug with the automatic task to defend the camp when switching location or saving/loading the game.
9. Fixed the random quest to destroy the mutants lair when pseudo dogs are nearby.
10. Fixed the task to destroy the mutants lair.
11. Fixed the random tasks with the raids of characters' camps.
12. Fixed the choice of goods at Barkeep and Petrenko after completing the random tasks.
13. The wounded do not run away from the grenade now.
14. The zombies at Yantar do not run from the grenade now.
15. Fixed the crash caused by the patrol route at Yantar.
16. Fixed the crash caused by the patrol route at Agroprom Research Institute.
17. Fixed the task with getting rid of the Duty group in the village at the Military Warehouses level.
18. Fixed the bug with repeating the scene of the Duty group ambush at the beginning of the Military Warehouses level.
19. Fixed the bug with camera fly-through on the stadium at Pripyat.
20. Fixed the bug with Bes character, when the latter couldn't be healed.
=================================================
As for now I can't confirm change of respawn rate caused by this patch - haven't played with it enough, at least respawn at Agroprom seems just like it was with 1.0003.
all.spawn script was changed, so there is a probability, but changelog doesn't say anything about respawn, and Bardak didn't mention it too.

I'm in the Agroprom undergrounds now, but I didn't stay long enough in Garbage to check out the respawning. But I did notice that nothing has changed in the car park where you have to protect Bes; no time to loot bodies before more bandits arrive.
Also, I saw no improvement at all in the performance area. I still get the pathetic 25 - 40 FPS in-doors and slightly more outdoors. I'm wondering if something is wrong with my system, since one would think a 7900 GTX, 2 GBs of memory, an A64 X2 ~2.2 GHz and a X-Fi would handle that game comfortably at max settings @ 1280 x 1024, no AA or AF.
Anyway, Bardak's patch sounds good. Will my savegames keep their sanity after installing it?
