So I've got Thief 2 installed and since I have an Nvidia 250GT I need to have DDFix installed as well. So I tried installing the 1.18 patch and then DDFix but it refuses to patch saying that it can't find DDRAW.dll in the .exe
I also tried the Widescreen mod and it gives me the same error, that it can't find the right .exe file in the folder.
Before patching to 1.18 it was running but I had black bars on the side and/or it crashed to the desktop.

I tried that and changed my resolution to 1680 1050 in cam.cfg but that just made my textures look weird and multicoloured and crashed Thief 2. I also got some error message "The requested screen mode could not be set" just before it crashed.

Did you set the resolution in both cam.cfg and ddfix.ini?

1) install thief2
2) install the (http://thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=265) 1.18 patch
3) overwrite your exe with (http://www.saleck.net/Downloads/Thief2-TheMetalAge/DDFix-Thief2.zip) this one
4) extract the (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117616&p=2026606&viewfull=1#post2026606) latest ddfix to your thief 2 folder
5) set your resolution in cam.cfg

that should get you running.if not,post screenshots/detailed info of your errors.

you should not install the widescreen mod,as the latest ddfix supports widescreen resolutions directly.start all over again.
