Annie Hall is one of my favourites. I’ve heard it described as the original "Rom Com". Not sure that does it justice. It won the Oscar for best picture in ’77. Star Wars was one of the other nominees that year :wot:

Deconstructing Harry was pretty good indeed. Match Point was excellent, you can't miss that one... I loved Sweet and Lowdown, too, funny yet dark. Sean Penn and especially Samantha Morton are brilliant in it. It's my personal favourite.
For lighter comedy, Everyone says I love you is good fun.

I quite like Woodie Allen, especially his earlier comedies. I never get tired of watching movies like 'Take the Money and Run', 'Sleeper', 'Bananas', 'Broadway Danny Rose', or 'Zelig'.

Just watched Ghost World again the other night. Saw it when it first came out, certainly noticed Scarlett, but never expected her to become this humongous star and I still don't understand how she did it - she's good-looking and she's a good actor, but there are tons of other people who fit that bill.

Scarlett is probably a bit more noticeable than the average 'good looking' actress, to be fair

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - but if Shug says she's considered more attractive than the rest I'll take his word for it. Why is that? Is she, like, uber-symmetrical?

Classical features are a beauty unto themselves. It's like Billy Crystal said in When Harry Met Sally: Empirically, she's attractive.
