I don't really have anything against the "uncool" vodkas.
Its just that i thought smirnoff had an odd, greasy taste to it, especially the flavored smirnoff.
On the whole though, alcohol's just getting too expensive.

"Greasy" is definitely an adjective I've never heard applied to vodka.

/edit: What is definitely not overrated is paying attention to the composition of one's bar. I just went to make a martini for the hell of it (since I've got the vermouth dug out already anyway), and I've discovered that while I've got 15 bottles of whiskey/whisky, 10 bottles of rum, 2 bottles of tequila and even (*gasp*) 4 bottles of vodka, I'm totally fucking out of gin, other than a half of a mini bottle of Sapphire.
Christ, that's unforgivable, need to go on a tequila/gin run tomorrow.
