Terry Gilliam's Brazil. I don't know if I'd call it overrated, I'd say that I just don't understand what's brilliant, funny or moving about it. I fully admit that the problem lies with me simply not understanding this movie.
I don't like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas either, by the way.
Equilibrium. Cheap looking sets (want to see low budget sci-fi done right? Look at Gattaca), the most preposterous idea for combat I know of, and some cheap B-movie moralizing. I gave the DVD away to a friend of mine.
Oh and another vote for Family Guy.

* Family Guy - It has its moments, but those are too few and far between for me to care.
* Naruto - Ninjas are not little 13 year-old shithead spellflingers!! :mad: /raeg
* Mario Party - Played a Gamecube version (forget which one) with my bro and cousin and fucking hated it. Mario, the Cheating Bastard aside.
* Party Games - In general. I just can't see the fun in recycled, boring, uninspired, and (oftentimes) cheesy minigames.
* Tim and Eric - G-T-F-O NAO. They're so gay, a normal gay man would be compelled to kill them on sight or suffer disgrace (and maybe flogging).
* Hardcore Gangsta Rap - Can I get moar bass pl0x?
* Blogs, Vlogs, and any other *log - Do I really NEED a reason?
* The *chans - 'Nuff said.

Oh yeah, and Koyannaskatsi (or however in the fuck its spelled). I was forced to watch this crap in Creative Writing and actually felt like repeatedly face-slamming my desk because of sheer boredom. "Its so deep?" Bullshit, imo.

The reason I like the show, aside from the dumb humor and sexual innuendo (which people can get all high and mighty about "wit", but it's still good humor) is that it is basically a situation comedy where the characters are THEM and THE WORLD. It's all about how they get along and if they can play nice or not. It also points out the absurdity of most problems and conflicts in day-to-day life and also on a global scale, although that's probably giving them too much credit.

I actually like the setup of the show and how they do the roundtable casual thing, but ultimately the show really just falters because of its subject matter. I don't give a shit about 99% of what they're talking about.

I really like Firefly, but I'll agree that it's overrated. IMO what really gets me with that show is the "cheese" aspect of it. I know they did it on purpose but sometimes it's a bit too much.
