I'm just on my desktop and doing my normal thing browsing the internet, downloading stuff, and playing Oblivion all interchangeably, and Oblivion is never alt+tabbed out of game to go to the desktop. I open up Oblivion, load a game and I try moving(up, down, left, right) and nothing works. The exception is that I am able to wait, open up my inventory, and go to third person view for some reason. Other than that, I cannot move, take out my weapon, attack, block, use magic, or anything of the sort.
I checked all my connections and everything seems to work out of game. I am able to use my arrow keys and everything else on my keyboard and mouse.
Anybody know why things just up and decided to not work anymore?

You tried re-installing or editing the .ini?

The technical support for the game says to edit the ini by changing the joystick from 1 to 0, but that didn't help.
So now, I am going to reinstall windows, mostly because I have planned on doing it anyway for the past few weeks, but have been putting it off. I hope it works. I'll let you know how it plays out.

Do you have a joystick/gamepad plugged in, by chance?
