I got some of this stuff, sure. I don't think it's all though. Sorry, those guys got me by surprise. They sent me the bill just a few days before beginning of the next period, and the price was about 25% higher. I know, that's not that much but they really caught me when I got a lot of expenses (my fiancée moving in).
I'll put those in zip file and throw it on Filefront and think of something else.

Since we had the idea of expanding the SMesh Brothers I could ask the Child of Karras to finally create a bigger upload site for all kinds of T3Ed stuff (including maybe new GameSys entries etc.). It would be free but maybe not tooo fast and only app. 18h online a day. But since we're not about to host only 300MB+ files it should suffice.

We could also ask Brethren, I think he mentioned something about his site having a lot of hosting space and bandwidth.

Aaaalright... So after about 4 days of more or less hard work I can present the new texture upload database:
(
http://jayb.ath.cx/SMeshes/textures.php)
There will be connections between the StaticMesh page and this one in the next hours or days, and pages for GameSyssisses and other stuff will follow somewhen in the future.
Uploading should be easy. You'll upload your textures as single files for Diffuse and Normal, as well as a preview picture (512x512) including 3d effects (I had taken the diffuse pic simply, but Beleg said that the normal maps have also a big influence on the final result, so I leave it up to you to create preview pictures). The files are then zipped automatically.
You may name your texture if you like, otherwise the name of the diffuse file will be taken. Most important are the tags. You can check those tags that fit best to your textures so they might be found easier if the database grows larger.
Disk space is not a problem here, I've got about 19 GB free so you can upload as much as you want. :)
I'm open to suggestions and bugs being found. However, there will be a few changes in the future anyway. :)

Great! :)
I tried to upload some textures by Ren, and it went fine but there are no thumbnails generated. Error message:
Code:
Upload okay!

Seems like you didn't upload a preview picture at all. O.o Well, i guess it's easier for all of us, if I just create a preview out of the diffuse file. What do you think?
Edit: I also updated your tags, since you only checked wall. Now the plasters can also be found in "stone" (since it's stone in the broadest sense) and also "old" or "new". :)

I think it should be there just in case. And if you could provide some checking mechnism, when you forget to fill all the necessary fields, like author ;)

This I already did. :P
Edit: Okay, here's the new deal. You NEED TO enter your name, otherwise there's no upload. It is RECOMMENDED to upload a rendered preview picture. If there's no picture the program will automatically create one from the diffuse file.
Also: You may check as many tags as you wish. If it's a stone wall you can check "Wall", "Stone" and propably "old". If there's moss between the stones you can also check "nature". :)

Child Of Karras, thanks!
A brilliant idea!
