A guy by the extraordinary name of
Master of Darkness has created a (
http://www.the-witcher.de/?go=dlfile&fileid=119) high-res texture patch for The Witcher. I cannot remember finding any texture files in the original game (don't have it installed right now either), but this 1.4GB exe shovels lots of dds files into any given directory. A lot of them seem either too small but often painfully sharpened, however, I don't know how the...what's it called? Aurora Engine handles them. Anyway, of course I'm not going to use them in any FM right now but I decided to have some fun with them.
I tried to make it something like daylight, but that's of course only a rough attempt. You can see how the omni lights and normal maps (standard nVidia, by the way) emphasize the overly-sharpened textures, but from a distance it doesn't look so bad.

And then I tried the same with the Master Builder textures. By the way, ShadowSneaker, can it be that in the latest matlib there are a couple of textures only appearing in tinted versions?

Beleg, looks excellent. (By the way, I pm'ed you back regarding your mission...)

MasterBuilderMBS79-81 are tinted versions of a stone wall which has no original version of it.
Flux, I'm working on it.

I made a few carpet and leather textures...
Good job! Thief 2 style. :)

Don't know what you did, but there's no tapestry and some textures are missing, giving my FM an error message at the beginning.

Everything works OK for me. All I did was:
- unpacked the archive somewhere;
- copied mlb-file into matlibs folder;
- copied folder with textures (named "SSfabrics") into PCTextures and Textures folders;
- run the editor and tested new textures in a small testing map.

Yeah, from the beginning it looked like the wrong archive. I'll check all of them later.
