But it's definitely better. Looks more natural to me. Now I cannot wait to use it myself. :thumb:

I've put the groutless wall on hiatus for a week. Modo crashed on me while saving, and caused me to lose about 10 bricks. I was so close to finishing the thing, too...but I gotta take a break from it before I get totally sick of texturing in general.
But it ain't all bad. I was playing Arx Fatalis earlier, and liked some of the textures in that game, specifically the (
http://users.chartertn.net/greymatt/arx1.jpg) wall texture in this shot. So I decided to (
http://users.chartertn.net/greymatt/stone_wall.jpg) make my own in homage.
The best part is, IT'S DONE! I'll have it up on the Store tomorrow.

I'm slowly running out of dummy textures in str8g8's custom matlib. If we're already hosting these things on the web, would it be possible to create semi-annual matlibs for everyone? I'm not grouping the textures by content since this is a thing to span over decades, but I wonder if someone could make dummy matlibs like str8g8's for the PC Textures\custom\ folders (so that PC Textures itself doesn't get more crammed) every half a year like 2008-01 and 2008-02 with, say, 10 texture slots each for stone, stoneclimb and maybe less for skies and windows etc...? So all the non-3DMax authors would be able to use new textures on the fly without waiting for some matlib to come by.

Not a bad idea, I think it would be easier to sort those textures by authors in PCTextures folder and give them 3 letter prefix, like STR_, JUD_ or REN_ to avoid repetitions in names - it's hard not to repeat those. Besides, it means a simple material, no specularity, no cubemapping, etc.

You owe me 10 bucks as per my EULA. Beyond that, yeah, I'm cool with it.

Bummer, I don't want to know what that inn will cost me. :p

10 bucks.
Also pictures. You people barely post screenshots of your stuff. Take a cue from the T1&2 folks, and post up and coming shots more often.

I got a couple of free minutes right now so I'm replying to you... what I somehow wanted to do for a week. Offtopic ahead.
When I started T3Edding I wanted to remain silent until I had something really cool just about to be released. Surprise and all that, but then I noticed that this community hardly seems to be alive, just because everyone is busy with his own stuff – and of course because we're fewer than the DromEd guys. I felt that it might be more valueable to present something and so wave the flag for T3Ed.
I guess a lot of T3Ed things happen behind the curtain and/or the authors are...well... disciplined enough not to post a work in progress screenshot every month. I have about 30 or so and from time to time I use Fraps to capture something, but with respect to the long building time of a not-so-simple T3 fan mission this would often remind people that someone is making something but without finishing it... for years maybe. :p Maybe the general attitude towards self-exposure is less developed here due to the... erm... I don't know... whole situation. However, it always surprises me (positively!) how T3 FMs apparently go like hotcakes once they're out.
