And that's simply bullshit. You can post stuff that's snarky and still is constructive in some way. These things aren't binary, they're not either/or. There are internet communities where people don't suffer fools gladly, yet they can still maintain a certain level of conversation. On TTLG, our record on this is somewhat patchy - sometimes it works just fine, and sometimes we behave like a bunch of superior dicks who like the sound of their own voice.

Individual members flipping out and leaving in a blast of (f/sh)ame isn't what's concerned me lately. We've always had characters here.
But one event lately that particularly shocked me, for lack of a better word, was the hatred that transpired a few months ago when there was that big GenGaming/ThiefGen/CommChat war thread. Now that was crazy. Up until then I didn't realize some people here had their heads stuck so far up their asses that the Ouroboros itself could beg them for training.
That was a Chernobyl-sized meltdown IMO. :nono:
As for TBE, well I hope he'll be back.

Which lends to my view of it being nothing more than blowing up and storming off just for the high-drama of it all. The person never just leaves and that's the end of it—instead they keep coming back to make comments, or lurking in the background to see what kind of reaction they get, like some childish game.

Fuck. At least have some conviction to your little hissy fit, after telling everyone to fuck off and that you're never coming back, and follow through with what you say. Or, better yet, be real and honest, and emotionally grounded instead of going off on some grand rant, and just say, “Hey guys, I know you're goofing around but I'm not enjoying it, so knock it off.”
Or would that actually make the taunting worse? Because if it did, then everyone involved are nothing more than a bunch of high school girls pulling each other's hair for no reason than just to pull hair and revel in a false sense of dominance.
