I've never been big on pre-ordering since I'm always convinced as soon as I receive the game, within a month it'll have been named GOTY and be re-released with all sorts of extras and goodies.

.... but there's a special ed that comes with a big dragon?!

I want one.

from the speed run, (http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/10/13/jeff-vs-sam-ii-the-skyrim-speedrun/) seems to be twice as long as Morrowind & Oblivion, good thing as i can nvr get enuff.

As for me and the collectors edition, I think I'll pass on this one. Judging by the picture (http://www.bethblog.com/index.php/2011/09/22/a-new-look-at-the-skyrim-collectors-edition/) here, the map (my primary interest) is as simple and without detail as it was for Oblivion.

And my second interest, a possible making-of video, doesn't make it worth for me to buy the whole package.

Oblivion's paper map was such a step back from the one provided with Morrowind. I remember spending much time in MW just trying to reach settlements, ruins, caves or shipwrecks that appeared on the map without a label, it was a great way to discover the world.
Nowadays I'm pretty much always disappointed by maps included with games as they are completely useless gameplay-wise.

I'm still excited. If its a cheesy thin plastic dragon, I might have to put it in my fish tank, otherwise it going on the lazy-susan in the center of my dinning room table or my daughter's glass curio. We may have to box over it. Only a few more weeks until 11.11.11
