I am pleased to report that one of my favourite games - Privateer - is also getting made into an unnoficial part 3. Its called Freelancer, and like its predecessor, it is a space RPG. It is also getting/has been demonstrated at E3. If anyone else here liked the original game then you may be interested in the following link: (

I want a third Little Big Adventure!
I wanted a sequel to AV-8B Harrier Assault, but Eidos killed it. (Ditto things like Freedom Ridge, I guess -- although I think the dev. team just blew WAY too much money on that one, so I don't really blame the publisher there.)
A proper sequel to Realms of the Haunting, or just another game in the same style of the same (or better) quality, would be brilliant.
hmm... I'll add more later, I expect :)

Not to mention this one: (

which seems the most up-to-date...
Or in a more tongue-in-cheek vein: (

Excerpt:
Quote:
Microsoft Games announced today that they have moved the release of the highly anticipated space action game, Freelancer, back to spring 2002. This comes a year after it was moved to spring 2001, two years after it was moved to winter 2000, and three years after it was moved to spring 2000. We asked the now-deceased Albert Einstein what he made of this string of events. He stated "after graphing any system, patterns emerge. Let us examin your specific system." Einstein went on to sketch a linear graph on the blackboard. "As you can see, with the current delays, we have linear growth, or possibly even exponential. Following this, yes, here, well, it continues to diverge." So we asked him "Interesting, most interesting, but what does it mean?" And then we got our answer. "According to the laws of mathematics, this "Freelancer" will never be released."

Thanks for the link, Shadowcat. Lets just hope that it doesn't get put back much further - that is, if it does indeed meet our expectations.

i thought Freelancer was a sequel to Starlancer. but since that game was kinda bad, i'm glad to hear it's more like Privateer.
speaking of spacesims, Tachyon is a game i hope to see a sequel to some day. alhough the original game is from just last year it'll probably take a few years.
i want a sequel to Bioforge. the only version i've found i downloaded stripped of all movies and the full version i can't find. there aren't enough really cool cyberpunk games out there.
then i think it's a damn shame that LucasArts are only doing Episode1 games. where are all the people that made so many great games for them during the 90's. a third Dark Forces game is what i want. i'm glad they cancelled Obi-Wan though. it was bound to be bad...

I want sequels to the oldies, too. <IMG SRC="thumb.gif" border="0">
Bioforge was fun back then, but even with the movies, it can be a little too funky, today.
