Hi, new to the forums. I was inspired by Thief to go find what games I could 'ghost', and I was just wondering if it was possible for the first Deus Ex game, or am I way off? I haven't played it in a while, and I know you can go throughout the game without killing anyone, but not sure if a 'ghost' is viable.
Thanks guys.

Depends on your definition of ghosting.

Ghosting as in not being seen by the enemy, avoiding all contact with the enemy, no tranqs or non lethal takedowns, just straight up no contact I guess.

I am almost certain that that would be impossible, unless you decide not to count Simons or Hermann (and probably Navarre), as they specifically run up to you at a couple of points in the game in order to initiate combat.

There are also several points where you are obliged to take someone down to proceed (the bossfights -Anna excepted- do not actually need you to kill the boss): the most notable is howard strong in the missile silo (though he often kills himself with hilarious lam throwing), but there may also be a few incidences of "locked door with patrolling guard holding the only key", too.
Certainly the vast majority of it is essentially ghostable, though.

That sounds fine, as long as the majority is ghostable I'm good!
Thanks guys.
