I'm fairly new to being a mage (and finding it much harder to level up as a pure mage. I'm still, unfortunately, level 2).
Trouble is I'm overloaded with spells I don't use or want. In Morrowind I was blissfully unaware that you could delete spells. For Oblivion, I can't figure out how to do this. I read the manual (RTFM!) but found no key combination.
Am I missing something?
Edit: Oh. UESP says you can't. That's just... Stupid. Why would they remove that?

Yeah, spell (non)organization is one of the worst aspects of the game

Particularly so once you start making your own. :nono:

They couldn't fit in the functionality on the XBox360 controller?

OMG M$ XSUX360 LOL
If enough people asked for it on the official forums, maybe they'll be nice and add it in a patch?

I bet it's something that will get a fix at some point, sort of like how Tribunal also fixed the crappy journal system of Morrowind (at least it was a major improvement)

For $2.00.

I vaguely recall someone posting tips on the official forums on how to hack into your game files to remove standard spells. You're outta luck as far as removing custom spells, I guess.

I looked into it. Custom spells are assigned an ID. You just need to go into the proper files to retrieve the ID. I can't remember off the top of my head, but when I go to do it, I'll post a link with the instructions. Or someone can be not-lazy and look themselves :)
