This doesn't need to be a TTLG feature for those who want it. Not going to take the credit for this (Google and in particular (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=924107) this steam thread need that) but with the code below you can at least get picture icons for posters on TTLG with a browser plugin.

It's also not identicons by default, but tbh the gravatars (neutral to both transformers and decepticons) are probably a bit more fun anyway:

You need:

* Version 3.0.10 of Firefox
* (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748) Greasemonkey add-on
* (http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/55445) TTLG Gravatars script

In theory you should just need to hit the "install" link to get it to work if you have Firefox and Greasemonkey in place.

I would love to say it's random - but from browsing various posts I think the sad truth is that the Gravatar algorithm knows your inner personality. The main reason I objected to the whole idea in the first place was because I thought something like this would happen.

(Either that - or I'd turn out to be a green square with eyebrows).

Al_B's script can easily be used for identicons:

In line 268 replace "wavatar" for "identicon" (or "monstericon").
